Martin Luther King, Jr Day ![]() |
Help keep Dr. King's legacy of service to others alive in communities across the county. Martin Luther King Day is set for January 15, 2007. The King Day of service is a way to transform Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s life and teachings into community service that helps fix social problems. That service may be a tangible need, such as fixing up a school or community garden, or it may meet a need of the spirit, such as building a sense of community or mutual responsibility. How ambitious you choose to be depends on you. You can recruit others to make the day more fun and multiply results. Select from the ideas below or contact Volunteer Wayne/RSVP for more ideas. Either way, let us know what your plans are so we count you in the activities in Wayne County.
