Wayne County will be expanding Make A Difference Day to last a week from October 15 to October 22. Your project can be as large or as small as you wish and volunteers can work on it any day of the Make A Difference Week. Anyone can carry out a volunteer project that helps others. If you don't volunteeer now, here's an occasion to get started. You can clean up an elderly neighbor's home, organize your block to replant and repair a local park, visit lonely, institutionalized kids or elderly, or join in on someone else's project listed on this web site. To select an opportunity, click "Agencies" on the menu, scroll to "Make a Difference Week". Under "Agency Listing" on the right hand side of the page, click "Volunteer Opportunity". Select project. Select "I am interested in this project" dialogue box. Complete registration for the project. You will be contacted by the agency with further details. Non-profit agencies that would like to register a project for Make a Difference Week may do do online. From the Homepage, scroll to "Are you a Non-Profit?" Click "Post your volunteer opportunities online". Log in as "Make a Difference Week". Enter password "madd". Click "Opportunities" tab on menu. Post your project. You may list as many projects as you wish. Just list each one as a separate opportunity on the "Make a Difference Week" agency page. Volunteers will view your opportunity or opportunities once approved by Volunteer Wayne/RSVP. |
