MAKE A DIFFERENCE DAY ![]() |
Make a Difference Day is a national initiative created by USA WEEKEND Magazine. It is co-sponsored by the Points of Light Foundation and the Volunteer Center National Network and will take place on Saturday, October 27th when individuals and groups across the nation join in a celebration of neighbors helping neighbors. Now in its 17th year, the nation's largest single day of volunteering has hit its stride. Millions have participated accomplishing thousands of projects in hundreds of towns.
Scouts from Troop in Rosewood are doing a project for Waynesborough Historical Village. They meet there at 10 a.m. to widen some of the trails. The project will be accomplished by the boys and their parents in approximately two hours. This troop won an Honorable Mention for their Shoebox project in 2003 when the scouts collected personal hygiene items for the needy.
