Most of us have been or will be personally affected by cancer. Join RSVP volunteers who are needed to offer support to individuals and programs working to fight this disease. The American Cancer Society needs volunteers to drive patients to and from local treatment facilities and medical appointments.
Drivers donate their time and the use of their personal vehicle to help ensure cancer patients get the lifesaving care they need. Volunteers age 55 and over will attend training/ orientation meeting. Hours and days are flexible. Screenings of all drivers will be conducted by American Cancer Society staff.
Volunteers are also needed to monitor an informational table in the cancer unit at the local hospital.
Training and orientation is required.
RSVP volunteers must be age 55 years or over and reside in Bristol, Burlington, Plainville and Plymouth.
