Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Food Pantry Volunteers are needed to staff the Food Pantry. They stock the shelves with non-perishable food and related items in an orderly fashion. The volunteers also distribute items to clients who use the pantry. When clients arrive, they sign in on a form and volunteers register them using a card file system. If volunteers are able they can keep the food pantry clean by sweeping the floor and dusting the shelves. Volunteers are needed Mondays and Fridays from 9:00am to 12:00 noon.

At this time there are no training requirements. Fellow volunteers who are experienced can train new volunteers on the job.

Site must be accessed from Prospect Street. Take Rte 6 from Bristol toward Terryville. Terryville Congregational Church will be on your left. Take a right onto Prospect Street. Take 2nd left into parking lot. The food pantry building is straight ahead. Walk around building and office is located in white house next door.
