Rebuilding Together Yellowstone County

Our mission is to preserve affordable housing by evitalizing houses and communities, assuring that low-income homeowners, particularly those who are elderly and disabled and families with children, live in warmth, safety, and independence.

Description:
More and more families are placed in the position of choosing between vital necessities, such as food or medicine, or a roof that does not leak. Rebuilding Together works to ensure that, as many of those families as possible do not have to make these difficult choices. Rebuilding Together of Yellowstone County is planning and preparing for several home repair projects to be completed in September 2007. We have strong support from many local businesses and suppliers as well as national sponsors. Our non-profit leverages our funds with other programs and functions solely on a volunteer base with no paid staff.

History:
Since organizing in 2001, Rebuilding Together has assisted over 40 homeowners in home repairs. We have improved the standard of living for our selected families and have changed their lives. Additionally, we have provided educational outreach efforts to senior citizens on the prevention of home accidents.
