Charles Campbell Childrens Camp

To allow Children With Physical Disabilities to enjoy a camp experience

Description:
The billings Lions Club is proud to sponsor the Charles Campbell Childrens Camp for Physically Disabled Children. Camp dates are July 18th ( for counselor training) and July 19th for the physically disabled children through July 23rd, 2009. Counselors are ages 15 and up and Campers are ages 6 - 18. All positions are volunteer. Counselors are assigned a cabin with 3 -4 campers and 2 or 3 other counselors and help campers participate in activities along with helping with daily needs of campers. Camp is located 9 miles south of Red Lodge at the Lions Beartooth Mountain Youth Camp. Campers are transported to camp from Billings and Bozeman. Camp is free to physically disabled children.

History:
Since 1961 The Billings Lions Club has sponsored a camp for Children ages 6 - 18 with physical disabilities. Volunteer Counselors and Staff take care of the campers while participating. The Children enjoy camp activities like hiking, fishing, crafts, campfires, etc. in a beautiful mountainous setting outside Red Lodge, MT at the Lions Beartooth Youth Camp.
