The Community Crisis Center will be a united, credible, indispensable, sustainable first point of access for people in crisis in our community.

Description:
The Community Crisis Center is open 24 hours a day/7 days a week to meet the mental health, social service, and chemical dependency needs of those in crisis. We provide the following items: psychosocial evaluations, case management, counseling, chemical dependency evaluations,chemical dependency counseling, crisis stabilization (holding up to 24 hours), recovery counseling, referrals, illness management and recovery groups, dual recovery groups and WRAP (wellness recovery action planning) and we will triage and refer to the next level of care.

History:
The Crisis Center has been open for 3 years and has had 8765 visits. We have a "No Wrong Door" Philosophy, which means everyone is welcome and services are voluntary to those that are in crisis. We initially opened our doors as an assessment and referral agency and now have developed into an agency that identifies the "gaps in services" in our community and strives to fill those gaps. We have worked hard to assist the community in planning and implementing services for the homeless and to be a team player in implementing these services.

Directions:

The Crisis Center is located on North 30th, just in the hospital corridor. We are 2 blocks from the psychiatric center.
