Volunteering in the Habitat for Humanity office involves answering the phone, making calls, filing, copying and other general office tasks. Some volunteers may do data entry or word processing depending on skill and office need. In addition, the volunteer will be greeting visitors who come to the office which can be rather quiet and slow or on some days, very busy and bustling! Monday-Thursday have openings. Shifts are generally 9 AM-Noon or 1 PM to 4 PM, but can be adjusted. Volunteers work one shift per week, or more if interested. Often our helpful office volunteers are the first contact people have with Habitat for Humanity!
Need friendly, flexible people with good phone skills and ability to take accurate messages. Volunteers should enjoy working with people. They should possess the ability to engage in multiple tasks and also be willing to have periods of time with less tasks to do. Training is provided on site.
