Friday, Jan. 23rd and Monday, Jan. 26th, the children of Friendship House lined up, creating a 'fireline.' Passing blankets from one student to the next, approximately 55 blankets where moved from the building into one of our vans. Select students traveled with staff members to various organizations, such Montana Rescue Mission shelters, the HUB, Tumbleweed's Street Outreach program, and several other organizations that support Billings' homeless population. Friendship House will continue to accept donations of new and gently used blankets throughout 2009 for distribution in January 2010. Thank you to everyone who donated blankets to Friendship House in 2008!
If you would like to help with the sorting and delivery of the blankets in January 2010, please contact Deb at Friendship House. There is no training requirement for volunteers. This opportunity is sponsored by: Friendship House
