ReStores are a Habitat for Humanity concept, with over 300 stores in the North America. They are BUILDING MATERIALS RE-SALE STORES that raise money to help cover operating expenses and help fund home construction for the local Habitat for Humanity affiliate. Donations of new and used building materials from individuals who are remodeling, contractors that have leftover items, and businesses that have unwanted or returned items, fill the store! Items are sold to the public at a fraction of the "new" price. The store helps people fix up their houses at a price that is affordable. ReStores also keep tons of waste out of the landfill!
Volunteer needed to help staff the ReStore. Have openings for sales help, sorters/pricers in the intake area, and cashiers. Ages 14 and up! WE'LL TRAIN YOU! Weekday shifts: 9:45 am-1:00 pm, 1:00 pm-4:00 pm (or until 6 PM), 2:00 pm-6:00 pm, or all day! Saturday shifts: 9:45 AM-12:30 PM, and 12:00-3:00 PM; or all day. Weekly or monthly volunteers needed. BONUS: Regular volunteers receive a 30% discount on ReStore merchandise! It's a fun place to work!
For cashiers and sales associates positions would like volunteers who are interested and capable of working with the public. For the prep/intake area an ability to do light and/or heavy lifting is beneficial, but not required. This opportunity is sponsored by: Habitat for Humanity Mid-Yellowstone Valley
