Hope 4 The Homeless

The Covenant Worship Center food giveaway program is an outreach ministry that supports children, individuals and families through economic hardship in order to alleviate hunger.

Our purpose and mission is to distribute thousands of pounds of food in the community, every month to those in need."

Description:
The program is sponsored by the Covenant Worship Center church in Berkeley. We do not require any of our clients to become affiliated with any religious doctrines. This is a free well program. Our program does not require an application or screening process. We distribute food to needy families every 3rd Wednesday of the month. As well, as during Thanksgiving and Christmas. Our agency is always looking for volunteers to help during our Christmas holiday season, to unload, pack, and distribute bags of food and toys to hundreds of families.

History:
The program has been in operation since 1998. We have fed thousands of families in need. Our program feeds hundreds of clients every month, with meats, vegetables, pastas, beans, fruit, juices, household items, baby food, snacks etc.. There are occasions when other items are donated like: furniture, backpacks, school supplies, blankets and other items, which we distribute.
