Our Mission “To impact the lives of young people by providing learning facilities and educational programs that promote positive character development and life-enhancing values through the game of golf"

Description:
We are an IRS 501 (c) (3) Charitable Organization that delivers Life Skills and Golf Skills to boys and girls from the ages 5 - 18. Our family within The First Tee network call it the Life Skills Experience. We use golf as a means to deliver the life skills to the participants and use life skills to deliver the golf lesson. Each life skill lesson has a core value that is integrated with the golf skill and delivered in a fun and seamless way. The 9 Core Values are honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, respect, confidence, responsibility, perseverance, courtesy and judgment.

History:
Our local Chapter The First Tee Contra Costa was founded in 2003 at Diablo Creek G.C. in Concord. We have since grown to 4 golf courses and have served approaching 4000 youth.
