Birthright Of San Lorenzo

Birthright of San Lorenzo is a non profit pregnancy support service. We provide supportive concern and care to women in a crisis pregnancy to help them bring their babies to term.

Description:
Birthright of San Lorenzo, a crisis pregnancy center, has been in operation since 1996 and helped hundreds of women who felt they had no where to go and were seeking an alternative to abortion.
Volunteers help women find workable solutions so they can give birth to their baby and face the future with dignity and hope.
Birthright offers confidential counseling, free pregnancy tests, maternity clothes, baby items, health care and housing referrals.

History:
Birthright is an International service and was started by Louise Summerhill in 1968. Louise was a Canadian housewife and addressed herself to the problems that face those in a distressed pregnancy who were increasingly being offered abortion as the only solution. Belief that supportive care and concern were all that many women needed to bring their babies to term, Louise started Birthright, the first crisis pregnancy center in the world.
There are now more than 450 Birthright centers internationally. San Lorenzo Birthright covers the greater Bay area.
