History:
Started in 1992 as a Thanksgiving Weekend coat drive in San Francisco's Union Square, One Warm Coat is now a national project. Coat drives have been held in all 50 states--yes, even Hawaii. More than 1 million coats have been collected under the One Warm Coat banner.
