At the Pleasanton Senior Center, we strive to provide activities, classes and services that meet the diverse needs of mature adults and assist them in maintaining healthy and independent lives.

Description:
The Pleasanton Senior Center, located at 5353 Sunol Blvd., provides a wide variety of recreational, educational and social opportunities for the mature adult. Whether it's keeping active in our Fitness or T'ai Chi classes or working on those small, home repair projects in our Woodshop, the Senior Center is a comfortable place where Seniors rediscover past hobbies and nurture new friendships and interests. New leisure opportunities abound with drop-in classes like Bocce, Creative Writing, Textiles, Painting, Yoga and Opera. Other services available at the Center include Health Screening, Computer Tutoring, Blood Pressure Checks, HICAP counseling, Reverse Mortgage Counseling, Free Notary Services, Tax Assistance and Vision Support Groups. Many of our programs and services are facilitated by volunteers. If you like working with Seniors or have a little extra time, why not join our spirited volunteer corp! Give us a call!

History:
The Pleasanton Senior Center has been in operation for over twelve (12) years. Under the supervision of the city's Park and Community Services division, it coordinates programs and services with 20 partnering agencies and organizations. The Pleasanton Paratransit Service is also coordinated at the Center.
