Safe Alternatives To Violent Environments
SAVE's mission is to promote alternatives to domestic violence through support services, advocacy and education, and to assist domestic violence victims and their families to end the cycle of violence.
Description:
SAVE offers services to domestic violence victims and their families. A few of our services are: 24-hour crisis hotline, emergency shelter, transitional housing, counseling, restraining order assistance, advocacy, education and referrals. On the hotline, clients and the community can receive information and referrals, crisis intervention, and access to all of the services SAVE provides. This is SAVE's hub. In the emergency shelter, clients receive ongoing counseling and advocacy. While here in a safe environment, clients can begin to make plans for the future. WINGS, our transitional housing program is the link between emergency shelter and self-sufficiency. Here our clients learn money management, resume and job interview training, as well as receiving counseling and advocacay assistance. SAVE offers free restraining order workshops where clients can get assistance filling out paperwork. Clients can also receive court accompaniment through this program.
