East Bay Community Recovery Project's mission is to support the well being of the community by providing substance abuse, mental health and other health related services. We respect and encourage the strengths of individuals and families, and their ability to make healthier choices.

Description:
East Bay Community Recovery Project is a non-profit drug and alcohol treatment program. We currently have two sites; one in Oakland and one in Hayward. We have two main divisions of service, residential and outpatient.

Our residential drug and alcohol treatment program, involves the family members of our clients as much a possible. Our services address the different needs of the women and children. Mothers receive training and support on improving socialization, communication, leadership and life skills. The children receive professional child care, education, play/art/music therapy, and ongoing developmental assessments. Our program helps women achieve pride in themselves and their children.

Our outpatient programs provide high quality services which address the full spectrum of needs: treatment, education, medical care, housing and employment. Realizing that hunger and transportation are an everyday challenge for our clients, we provide bus and BART vouchers, meals on site, food vouchers, and limited groceries clients can take home. We work with clients at our own sites located in Oakland, and Hayward, as well as in a variety of locations throughout the larger community. In addition, we contract with local, state and federal criminal justice agencies to provide comprehensive mental health and substance abuse services.

History:
East Bay Community Recovery Project has provided substance abuse treatment and relapse prevention programs in Alameda County since 1989.
