John Muir Senior Services offers educational programs, support group and resource information, health screenings and assessment services. Our focus is on older adults, their families and those caring for them. Our goal is to enable older adults to maintain an independent, optimal qualify of life.
Description:
Blood pressure screening is provided monthly to participants at established sites and health fairs around Central and East Contra Costa County. Screeners are trained on procedures and are assigned to a regular site, or are available on call. Equipment is checked out to the volunteer who provides the screening. The volunteer tracks the high risk participants on a sheet, which is sent back to the program manager after each screening.
