Position title: Board Member Needed
Description: Build House (Berkeley Youth Living with Disabilities) is currently seeking interested community members to join our Board of Directors.
We are a small non profit home in West Berkeley for children and young adults with developmental disabilities. We are committed to making a difference in our community by providing a family-directed
approach to residential health care for the developmentally disabled. Started in 1997 by persons with disabilities, professionals and
family members of developmentally disabled individuals, we began serving our community in 2001. While we obtain federal and state
funding, we raise about 30% of our annual budget each year in small individual donations through direct mail and other small fundraising events. We are an extremely active board, taking important roles in
fundraising, finance, human resources and disability rights advocacy and specifically looking with individuals with those background.
If you think you would be a good fit for our organization and share similar goals and ideas with us, please contact me at minagoyal@gmail.com and
visit our website at www.buildhouse.org for more information. Mina
