Be part of the South Bay Salt Pond Restoration Project – the largest tidal wetland restoration project on the West Coast! Restoring this 600-acre former salt pond to thriving tidal wetlands will increase habitat for endangered birds and fish, and provide new recreation opportunities to residents who have been walled off from the shoreline for decades. Volunteers will clean up the shoreline by removing weeds and picking up trash. Due to the sensitive nature of the restoration site, space is limited and RSVP is requested. Please complete this online registration form for yourself or a group, and note that we will contact you with other potential project dates if we can't fit your group on the project date that you have requested. If you need more information about this or other events please contact Natalie LaVan at (510) 452-9261 x109 or email bayevents@saveSFbay.org.
