Family Enrichment Center Of Ozaukee Inc.
Agency Details:
Family Enrichment Center Of Ozaukee Inc.
Housing 10 human service agencies, the Family Enrichment Center of Ozaukee seeks to build strong families and improve the quality of life throughout Ozaukee County by enhancing the capabilities of all our tenant agencies in delivering more comprehensive, integrated and centralized family-focused services.
Description:
By housing multiple agencies under one roof, the Family Enrichment Center allows participating agencies to work cooperatively. This is done not only by enhancing coordinated program results, but also by cultivating collaborative planning and shared programming. Taken as a whole, a relationship such as this decreases duplication and minimizes costs. Offering family enrichment programming for infants to seniors, the agencies in the Family Enrichment Center are working together to serve Ozaukee County. The broad-based services currently provided at the Family Enrichment Center include information and referral, affordable individual, couple and family counseling, parenting education and support programs, services to infants, children, adults, and senior citizens, services for disabled persons and their families, economic assistance, volunteer opportunities, recruitment and training, and results-based program development. Currently the FEC houses offices for; Advocates of Ozaukee, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ozaukee, COPE Services Inc. Administrative Offices, Independence First, Lutheran Social Services-Birth to Three Program, Ozaukee Family Services, Ozaukee Works, The Volunteer Center of Ozaukee, Women's Lifeline and The Youth & Family Project. The Family Enrichment Center is governed by a board of directors consisting of a representative from the tenant agencies, as well as individuals from the general public who bring their particular skills to the board. Currently there is one part time employee of the Family Enrichment Center, the executive director, who manages the building in conjunction with volunteers and staff from the tenant agencies.
