Assist staff in designing and building adaptive equipment that disabled adults can use to perform various packaging and assembly jobs. Your help will give disabled adults the opportunity perform productive work. Many of our clients have severe physical disabilities and the adaptive equipment created helps them with packaging and assembly jobs. Equipment may include various types of lazy susans, conveyor belts, tools to assist with counting, etc. Tools and equipment are provided. We seek volunteers with a background in electrical engineering or experience as an electrician. Design or carpentry skills helpful. Imagination is a must. Great opportunity for students in skilled trades. Hours are available Monday through Thursday between 9am - 2pm with minimum of one shift per week.
