Perform assessments and provide referrals to families, children and adults in need of social services as you assist social workers and/or case manager. Match clients to such services as counseling, parenting support, food and clothing sites, housing, medical services, etc. Must
complete paperwork. Volunteers will be provided with an orientation/training to prepare them for this position and will be required to participate in staff development training.
volunteers who are working toward a four-year social work degree and need volunteer hours. Retired volunteers with experience working is social service agencies. An empathetic and caring attitude is a must. Weekday hours. Minimum age of volunteer is 20. volunteers must be able to follow agency's policies and be responsible for letting agency know when they can no longer volunteer or need time off.
