Crossroads Hospice Of Kansas City
Crossroads Hospice exists "to promote and support end-of-life care and services to patients and their caregivers through community education and awareness, prudent management of foundation assets along with the conscientious disbursement of grants and financial resources to organizations and entities that provide these services."
Description:
Volunteer opportunities include:
Direct Care Volunteer:
12 hrs of training, background check, Hospice 101, Alzheimer's, Universal Precautions, etc.
Volunteers are companions, they are not allowed to feed or transfer patients. However, volunteers may read, sing, play an instrument, pet therapy, art therapy, etc.
Indirect Volunteers:
Sew, lap blankets, walker bags, etc.
Bake cookies (Cookies for Caregivers)
Bake small birthday cakes
Make tray favors
Wherever your skills lie, there is a place for you.
Special projects:
Scouts Boy/Girl
Piano recitals
Choirs
Jazz Bands
Instrumentals
High School students
Community service hours (we can help)
