Youth Volunteer Corps Of Greater Kansas City
YVC works to create and increase volunteer opportunities to enrich America’s youth, address community needs and develop a lifetime commitment to service.
Description:
YVC’s Kansas City affiliate, YVCKC, recruits Youth Volunteers from different ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds who live all over the Greater Kansas City metro area to work in teams to complete worthwhile service-learning and community service projects. The projects, submitted by local nonprofit agencies and selected by our Youth Advisory Board, are designed to be fun and educational. YVC supplies trained, CPR/First Aid certified adult Team Leaders to supervise the Youth Volunteers on all projects.
We offer programming in-school, after-school, on Saturdays and during the summer, when we have 32 different week-long projects.
