Early Childcare Volunteer - Works with infants-6 years old. Early Childcare Volunteer’s report to LaVeeda Simmons (Children’s Program Director). Objectives and Duties: • Provide leadership and direction in various youth activities such as arts, crafts, dance, ABC’s, movies, song time, games, or whatever creative activity you can teach!! • Diaper and nurture the infants. • Supervise, feed and clean-up after both the infants and the toddlers during snack time. • Share any special activities or talents that you have with the infants and toddlers. These can include puppets, music, clowns or age appropriate educational activities. • Clean up workstations. • Empty trash; sanitize area, vacuum, sweep floors. • Notify staff of behavioral, learning or other concerns. Hours: 5:30pm- 8:00pm Tuesday & Thursday evenings. Skills needed: • Openness to children who have been through transition. • Enjoyment of working with young children. • An understanding of mutual respect. • Patience and love.
