Care Alternative's pet therapist have a wide variety of opportunities available to them. Direct patient care is our most popular choice among our pet therapists. We coordinate a patient who has requested pet therapy visits with a volunteer. Each volunteer is able to accept assignments that is convenient for them. Also, we have pet therapist who do special events for our organization that include pet parades at long term care facilities. Additionally, pet therapist can be assigned to a particular facility where we have patients, but are able to visit with all of the patients in that facility. We are always open to new ways utilizing the benefits of pet therapy, so please contact the volunteer coordinator to discuss your ideas.
