Do you know how to work design miracles with limited materials and resources? Would you like to support children's literacy? If so, read on.... The Pediatric Department at KU Med Center is searching for someone with a design eye to turn ho-hum bulletin boards into an eye-catching opportunity to promote early childhood literacy to families visiting their pediatrician. KU Med Center, in conjunction with Reach Out and Read Kansas City, will provide a bi-monthly theme and literacy information and we need an artist's help in creating a great looking message board with few resources.
The bulletin boards are located in the pediatric department at KU Medical Center and KU Pediatrics in Prairie Village KS. The theme and materials would need to be updated approx. every two months. The design volunteer may need to supply some of their own craft materials as the pediatric department has limited supplies of colored paper, etc. We are looking for an artist willing to commit to helping with 6 displays over the course of a year.
