Volunteer Opportunity Details:
| Last updated on October 28, 2009 |
This event supports our Safety For Kids Child Passenger Safety Program. We instructs proper car seat installation and offers seats to those who can't afford to get them. We also train Technicians to help with the installations and educational events. 13th Annual Gobbler Grind Marathon will attract 2000 runners this year from the US and other countries, and it is a qualifier for the Boston Marathon. We need you to work water stations, monitor the food/fruit table, clip the chips from the runner's ankle after they cross the finish line, and volunteers in general as for jobs that come up. We need someone to drive volunteers out to the water stations.
There are no training requirements, and the only thing we ask is that volunteers under 12 need to be accompanied by a parent(s). A lot of schools, churches, boy & girl Scout Troops are looking for community service hours, and we will have the sheets for them to take back to their school or organization when they finish their shift. This opportunity is sponsored by: Safety & Health Council Of W. MO & KS
We need volunteers who are free at these times
