Family Stories - November 27 - Volunteers needed to assist with an exciting opportunity!
RSS XML FeedBackground Active Nov 5, 2007 to Nov 28, 2007

Shawnee Town Museum is looking for volunteers to help with set-up and registration during 'Family Stories' -- an oral history project designed to gather and record family histories from area residents who live, work in or have visited the Shawnee, KS area. Participants of all ages will be sharing their family histories and anecdotes with our historians. The stories will then be archived in the Johnson County Museum.

Volunteers will help us set up refreshments, greet & register interviewees as they sign-in, assist with project paperwork, and clean-up. An orientation and training will be provided. Shifts are 8:30am-12:30pm and 1pm-5pm. Volunteers can work one or both shifts.

To get involved, call Laura Long at (913)248-2360.
