Mission
It is the mission of the Calhoun County Medical Care Facility to provide each resident with opportunities to live life fully, while striving to eliminate the plagues of loneliness, helplessness and boredom. We will provide a clean environment with proper medical care, high-quality skilled therapy and rehabilitation services, healthy food choices and spontaneous interactions that include loving companionship, and opportunities to give as well as receive care.

Vision
The Calhoun County Medical Care Facility is dedicated to creating a home for each resident to live their life with meaning and purpose. We commit to maintaining an atmosphere of friendship and understanding within the community, and between all staff, residents and their families.

Description:
Our facility offers 24 hours care for post-operative residents, Alzheimer's victims, residents with debilitative diseases, and residents recovering from stroke or fractures.

We welcome volunteers to assist with outings, scheduled programs, entertainment groups, bible study

History:
The Calhoun County Medical Care Facility was built in October of 1977 with County tax dollars and has a capacity of 120 beds with an occupancy rate of over 99%.

In 2006, we began a complete renovation and building addition project that should be finished in Fall 2009. With this project, we increased our number of private rooms from 4 to 88, with 18 of those rooms offering a private shower in their bathroom. The remaining 16 rooms are semi-privates.

Our second story addition is home to our 2 thirteen resident special care neighborhoods, where many of our residents suffering from Alzheimer's reside.
