Disciple individuals (men, women, and famlies with children) to become spiritually, physically and emotionally functional and able to live optimally within God's Kingdom and the community.

Description:
The Haven provides comprehensive services to homeless individuals (men, women and families with children) through emergency shelter, food, case management, transitional housing, substance abuse treatment, mentoring and tutoring. Most of our programs provide life skill classes, advocacy, and referrals to local social service agencies. Our outreach program provides needed items to those in need, who are not living in our shelters.

The Haven has eight programs and they are mainly funded by community donations.

History:
The Haven of Rest was established in 1956 by Don and Wilma Chalft as "The Haven of Rest Rescue Mission", the Haven provided meals, shelter and the gospel message to homeless men. Since that time, the Haven has grown to offer many innovative programs that provide services to the ever changing homeless population who need assistance in learning the necessary steps that lead individuals to self-sufficiency and productivity.
