Purpose/Goal:
To have each client participate in Center activities i.e. bingo, crafts, cooking, scrapbooking, exercise, etc) To build client's self-worth.

Tasks:
To encourage clients participation. To assist the clients in any way so that they may be able to participate in activities. To be the eyes, ears or hands as necessary for the client. To help the client feel part of the community. To work with an individual or group of clients with an activity and clients capabilities dictate.

The volunteer needs to be caring, alert to body language, friendly and patient. Activities are usually one or two hours in duration. Volunteers who want to volunteer at the Center on a regular basis must fill out a volunteer application, criminal history check, sign HIPAA Acknowledgement and go through a brief orientation with the Volunteer
Coordinator prior to beginning volunteer service at Marian E. Burch Adult Day Care Center. Exceptions to this rule apply depending on the
circumstances.
