Lunch Hour Dining Room Assistant

Our dining room program allows our clients to make their own choices, encourages conversation, and fosters a home-like environment. As a volunteer, you would assist staff serving the lunch trays to the clients. The volunteer would assist in pouring drinks (i.e. coffee,
milk, juice etc.) Lunch is available free of charge when you volunteer during lunch hour. While eating, staff and volunteers sit with the clients to offer assistance (refills, extra servings, etc) as needed. Volunteers would then stay to help with cleanup. This would involve clearing the tables, scraping food off the plates, loading carts with dirty dishes, refilling salt and pepper shakers, etc. This opportunity is available Monday-Friday from 11:45 until around 1:30pm. You can volunteer one to five times per week, whatever your schedule allows.
All volunteers must fill out a volunteer application, criminal history form (depending on the number of volunteer hours)and a brief orientation with Volunteer Coordinator prior to volunteering.
