Compassionate individuals from all walks of life are needed to assist students with assigned reading materials in a very active after school program during the school year. Volunteers will report progress/concerns to lead teacher. Ideal opportunity for high school students or retirees. Perspective candidates must undergo background checks with the Department of Human Services (formerly FIA), and the Battle Creek Police Department. (Any fees incurred for background checks will be reimbursed if the records are favorable and the individual volunteers with Community Ministries.)
