Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Imagine a fourth grader plunging her trowel into the brownish sandy soil, pulling out stubborn roots and scooping out a spot for one of the Wild Blue Lupine plants that her class has nurtured and raised over the past six weeks. As her dirt-caked hand carefully removes the seedling and gently places it into the small hole, she comments that although this is hard work, it is important work. She indicates that she is working hard to save a species on the brink of extinction and she wants to make sure she does it well.
Does not this sound like a wonderful project? We are in need of volunteers to help with the development of grants to help fund this program. If you have experience in grant writing and would like to help see children obtain a hands on education that will last a life time, please do not hesitate to contact us. We need your help.

For this position you should have experience in grant writing. Should your work help reap the harvest we need to continue this wonderful program, this could easily turn into a paid position and help to give local children an education that can not be obtained from a book or classroom alone.
