Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Location: Home Base will be Gracious Homes, Inc.
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Status: Volunteer position
Supervisor: Executive Director

Under the supervision of the executive director, the volunteer coordinator will be responsible for recruiting and integrating new volunteers into the organization.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
Interview new potential volunteers
Coordinate scheduling and assignments as needed
Meet with staff for familiarization with scheduling needs
Respond to volunteer scheduling changes as needed, identifying substitutes and notifying staff of changes. Available to answer volunteer questions as needed
Recruit and retain volunteers
Ability to evaluate volunteers

Qualifications: Preferable 2 years' experience in some administrative roles, including supervising staff and volunteers and working with a Board of Directors. Ability to work well with individuals with different interests and opinions and to build effective teams in a volunteer environment. High level of energy, motivation, persistence and positive attitude.
