Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Volunteers are needed to specifically assist with residents who have Alzheimer's / Dementia. Volunteers would help residents in day room areas complete simple household activities, craft projects, word games, puzzles, etc.

Volunteers are needed throughout the day, especially late afternoons (3pm-5pm) and weekends.

Calhoun County Medical Care Facility requires new volunteers to complete a brief application, a consent for a criminal history check and complete a 30 minute orientation and tour with the volunteer coordinator or life enrichment staff. Volunteers wishing to assist with this position will also need to complete a brief orientation with the Neighborhood Director prior to starting. (Both orientations may be completed at the same time.)
