Global Citizens River Conservation Day

Keep OCTOBER 4, 2008 open for this year’s Global Citizens River Conservation Day, which is a cleanup of the Kalamazoo River and its tributaries within the Greater Battle Creek area. It began through an international agreement from the city of Battle Creek’s sister city relationship with Takasaki, Japan in 2001.

Anyone from kids to the elderly can get involved. Get your civic club, school group, scout group, or church
organization on board! All are welcome!

We suggest that volunteers dress appropriately with work clothes and sturdy shoes. Call Christine Kosmowski, Environmental Programs Coordinator at (269) 966-0712 to learn more.

Sponsored by Battle Creek Clean Water Partners.
