Project Literacy Douglas County

The purpose of Project Literacy Douglas County is to upgrade the skill-set of Douglas County residents in need of such services. This is in keeping with the current National Literacy Act 1999. "Literacy is . . . an individual's ability to read, write, and speak in English, and compute and solve problems at levels of proficiency necessary to function on the job and in society, to achieve one's goals, and to develop one's knowledge and potential."
