Adult Basic Literacy Tutor

Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Through one-on-one tutoring, help an adult learn or improve reading, writing, math, computer technology or workplace skills so the person can fully function in today's changing society.

  • Speak, read, and write English fluently. Understand basic math concepts (for those tutoring math).
  • Possess the patience to progress slowly with a learner.
  • Able to commit to personally work with adults who are under educated or are seeking to upgrade workplace skills.
  • Able to work two hours a week with a learner.
  • This opportunity is sponsored by: Project Literacy Douglas County
