Each year, more than a half a million abused and neglected children nation-wide are living in temporary foster care while waiting for a safe, permanent and nurturing home. However, ordinary and caring citizens, just like you, are joining together in fighting for these children's rights...by becoming a Court Appointed Special Advocate--a CASA Volunteer. You can make a difference by serving as the eyes and ears of the Office of the Guardian Ad Litem and the court--making it possible for children to be heard. Training is provided. Volunteers are needed in Beaver, Garfield, Kane and Iron Counties. Volunteers must be 21 years of age and pass a background check. As the program co-ordinator, I will be happy to meet with you to thoroughly explain the program and answer any of your questions. I will provide you with training which includes all of the materials. This opportunity is sponsored by: CASA Cedar City Office
