The Foster Grandparent Program offers seniors age 60 or better, opportunities to serve as mentors, tutors, and caregivers for children and youth in community organizations.

Description:
What are the BENEFITS of becoming a Foster Grandparent?

*Income Qualified men and women, over age 60, can EARN WHILE YOU SERVE!
*A stipend of $2.65 per hour in non-taxable, non-reportable income plus limited mileage reimbursement, some meals and no-cost excess accident and liability insurance. INCOME DOES NOT COUNT AGAINST SOCIAL SECURITY, MEDICARE, HOUSING, FOOD STAMPS or OTHER STATE or FEDERAL PROGRAMS.
*15-40 hours a week providing much needed one-on-one attention to children and youth in school classrooms and through agencies addressing the needs of children and youth.
*Reliable transportation a must! (Personal vehicle, SunTran, bicycle, or walking).
*Background checks required for all Foster Grandparents.
