CCWC is an ecumenical ministry committed to serving people in need in Waukesha County.
Description:
CCWC serves the low-income and homeless people in Waukesha County. We provide 8 services that help people with basic needs such as financial assistance to keep people from becoming homeless or losing their jobs, 3 free meals per week, free casual and career clothing, free legal advice, free household goods, reduced rate child care and a parish nurse. CCWC is consistently the #1 referral source for 211/First Call for Help. We serve thousands of people each year through our many programs.
History:
CCWC has been in existence since 1973, first as the Waukesha Council of Churches and incorporated in 1987 as Cooperating Congregations. Our programs grew as needs in the community arose. We address the basic needs of people because we want to help them to make the right choices to become self-sufficient.
