Are you retired from work but not from life? If so, then RSVP is the place for you! The purpose of RSVP is to provide meaningful opportunities for individuals 55 and over to volunteer for non-profit agencies within their Waukesha County communities. The range of opportunities is extensive, and if you are searching for the right volunteer opportunity, RSVP provides one-stop place to look. We serve over 100 non-profit agencies throughout the county. The needs we fill include nutrition, housing, transportation, education, health care and social isolation. Programs Include: Volunteer Placement Program - places motivated and talented volunteers in diverse organizations to address the most pressing community needs Needlecraft Program - volunteers knit, sew or crochet thousands of items that are donated to nonprofit agencies, schools, nursing homes and hospitals in Waukesha County Senior Resources Project - connects rural seniors with local volunteer opportunities in the Eagle and Dousman areas, reducing isolation and prolonging health and independence Seniors and Students Programs - assist elementary school students in the Hamilton, Menomonee Falls, Arrowhead and Waukesha school districts to develop their reading, math and writing skills Intergenerational Folk Art Fairs - a fun learning atmosphere promoting positive interaction between students and volunteers
