Promote Good Friend in the media through the development and implementation of a public service campaign and regular news releases. Maintain and expand as needed Good Friend’s line of promotional merchandise, sales of which support Good Friend’s programs. Create print and electronic media to support and promote the organization’s mission to create autism awareness, teach acceptance of differences, and foster empathy for children with autism spectrum disorders.
Members should spend three hours per month, which includes an hour-long meeting every other month, furthering the purpose of this committee. These meetings may occur at a time and place convenient to the members.
Ideally, members should have a public relations and/or business background. Bachelor’s degree plus two years work experience is a must. Three openings exist on this committee. All committee members must also become members of the organization ($25 annual dues).
