Three Kings Day (Dia de los Reyes)signifies the day Three Wise Men followed the Star of Bethlehem and arrived with gifts for the newborn King, Jesus. Children from Mexico, Puerto Rico, Cuba and various other Hispanic countries celebrate this joyous occasion by receiving gifts from the Three Kings. Every year, to celebrate this very important event, La Casa distributes over 1,000 donated presents to local low-income children and families. To prepare for this event we are in need of a dedicated team, on Jan. 8, 2010 from 4;00-6:00pm, to assist with set-up. This will involve moving chairs and tables. This is a great group opportunity!
Requirements: Minimum age of 16 to volunteer without an adult present. Volunteers must be able to lift 10 pounds. This opportunity is sponsored by: La Casa de Esperanza
