Three Kings Day (Dia de los Reyes)signifies the day Three Wise Men followed the Star of Bethlehem and arrived with gifts for the newborn King, Jesus. Children from Mexico, Puerto Rico, Cuba and various other Hispanic countries celebrate this joyous occasion by receiving gifts from the Three Kings. Every year at this event La Casa distributes over 1,000 donated presents to local low-income children and families. The event includes gift distribution, refreshments, entertainment, and music. Volunteers are needed on Jan. 9, 2010 from 10:00am-1:00pm to assist with distributing refreshments, greeting, ushering, organizing and handing out presents, and event clean-up.
Requirement: Minimum age of 16 to volunteer without an adult. One shift available: 10:00am-1:00pm.
