Provide childcare for single mothers attending education forum. The forums are held the third Monday of each month from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm (excluding December and January). 2008 Forum dates: 6/16,7/21, 8/18, 9/15, 10/20, 11/17. Forums are held at the Family Resource Center of Sherman Park, 3302 N. Sherman Blvd. in Milwaukee.

Organic Produce Assembly

This three hour project requires 11 people. It is during this time we are assembling the Organic Produce package that people have ordered for the month. There are usually 8 food stations plus other duties related to the project. As boxes pass by your station on a manual conveyor you add your product to the box. Teams can rotate stations. It's fun and interesting!

Volunteers will be double checking the boxed quantities of grocery products assembled by others to confirm the order is correct. Volunteers may also assist by loading large orders onto vehicles or taking small orders out to customer cars in the parking lot. Age 14 and up are welcomed.

Three area rehabilitation facilities will compete in their own version of Olympic Games. Volunteers are needed for an extra pair of hands to help with the games, for fun and lunch.
